In Depth Marketing has long been a leader in manufacturer's representative communications with both our customers and our manufacturers. We have implemented a broad variety of technologies to empower and reinforce our sales force's ability to disseminate information, communicate orders, and serve our customers.
Network Communications
How many reps have a direct T3 connection to the Internet? We do! Our 45 Megabit connection to the Internet allows us to host and maintain our own web site, share huge files, product specification sheets, etc, with our distributed sales force and our valued customers.
Data Center
What good is having information without a handy and organized place to store and serve it? Our huge, in-house, data center hosts all of our web servers (including this web site!), application servers, tape backup equipment, and remote dial-up access for our outside sales force road warriors.
Extranet
In Depth Marketing has the ability to edit, place, and expedite orders directly with our manufacturers via a secure tunnel to Elkay Manufacturing and Aqua Glass.
Laptop Computers
We have laptop computers as standard equipment for all of our sales force. This allows access to information for every account that they call on, and allows them to have sales information on the road when out on overnight calls. All inside staff have their own networked workstation that enables them to have access to immediate information. We have a custom written computer program which allows us to track sales history, keep ongoing personnel history of our wholesalers, mass fax our job quotations to our wholesalers, and keep a price book of our lines. All of these features are not only time saving, but are necessary in order for us to properly service our customer.
Cell Phones
Since the early 1980's, IDM has had car phones in all of the salesman's vehicles to enable us to make use of the long hours on the road. Additionally, we have eight incoming telephone lines plus four fax lines.
